Marlene Eva Ludvik, “Grams” – dedicated wife, loving mother of two, grandma to three and friend to many – passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 28, 2022 at the age of 87 in Lakewood, Colorado at Swedish Medical Center.
Marlene was born June 14, 1935 in Walsenburg, CO to her parents John and Anna Dernovshek; her brothers Johnny and Joe, and her most beloved twin sister Arlene. Later married Richard Ludvik and had two beautiful daughters, Carrie (Carrie girl) and Lorrie. Her pride and joy were her grand kids, Ashleigh, Zackry, and Brook-lyn; not a single day went by without her calling to share the current Rockies score, or her bingo winnings. “Grams” had the most loving heart and cherished every moment she had with her family until the day she passed. Her best friend was always her sister, Arlene; they were a dynamic duo that will now forever live on in heaven. Her cousin Tony Hegler “Sonny,” was her rock, and brought Marlene continued happiness every day. Marlene was authentically and wholeheartedly there for everyone she loved in this life and her memory will continue to remain in all our hearts.
Marlene was preceded in death by her father John and Mother Anna, brothers Joseph and John, sister Arlene, and daughter Carrie. She is survived by her husband, Richard, daughter, Lorrie, her three grand kids, Ashleigh, Zackry, and Brook-lyn, and her many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
