Kenneth Edward Bruso

Kenneth Edward was born on June 30, 1953 in Denver, CO at Saint Joseph Hospital to Frank Edward Bruso and Mary Rose (Ramey) Bruso.

Ken graduated from West High School in 1971. He began his working career as an electrician’s apprentice wiring homes. Ken went on to join the Teamsters and become an over the road truck driver. He later decided to further his education at Emily Griffith Technical School, and obtained his Stationary Engineering license. This license was the foundation of the rest of Ken’s career.

Outside of Ken’s career accomplishments, he also pursued philanthropic endeavors. Ken followed in his family’s multigenerational footsteps by working to become a Freemason. Ken became a lifetime member in 1991 of the A&A Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, SJ, USA.

Kenneth married his beloved, Vickie Jean Chavers, December 6, 1986. They made their home in Westminster and Arvada, Colorado.

Together they pursued their passion of motorcycling, camping, and traveling; passing the love of these endeavors down to their children, and continuing the adventures with them and their grandchildren.

Kenneth is survived by his loving wife, Vickie; children, April (Chris) Anderson of Fargo, ND, and Frank (Danielle) Bruso of Thornton, CO; and grandchildren, Kody, Logan, Mya, Kendall, Amy, and Cooper. He also leaves behind his sisters, Brenda (Lloyd) Alred and Devona (Ron) Messing; mother-in-law Jean Chavers; brother-in-law Howie (Laura) Chavers; 11 nieces and nephews; and 4 great nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 10:00am - 2:00pm.

Monday, January 15, 2024 a Visitation will be held starting at 12:00pm, Followed by Funeral services at 1:00pm.

Family and friends are also invited to stay and further celebrate Ken immediately following the funeral services Monday, from 3:00pm-5:00pm, over light refreshments.
