June Catherine McDonnell passed away on May 4, 2019. She was born on June 8, 1922 in Detroit, Michigan, to Sylvia and Edward Dowling. She attended St. Cecilia’s Catholic school.
June was a homemaker and also worked as a bookkeeper at various times throughout her life.
She married William J. McDonnell, the best friend of her brother, Edward Dowling, soon after his return from World War II. Their loving marriage lasted 52 years until his death in 2001. Together they had four children, William F. McDonnell, James McDonnell, Patricia Deeds and John McDonnell. She was a volunteer with and longtime member of St Joan of Arc Catholic Church. She was a grandmother to 5, and great grandmother to 6. June loved to dance and was a founding member of the Cherry Hills Dance Club in Michigan.
June loved her family and friends very much and would like for you to celebrate her life.
