Josephine Marie Pullano was born May 4, 1928, the seventh of twelve children born to Frank and Vienna (Tarantino) Pullano of Denver, Colorado. She grew up in Denver, graduated from North High School, and worked her entire career for the federal government, first at Lowry Air Force Base, then for the Department of the Army as a Contracts Administrator at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal. Josephine retired at age 55 after a successful career, and after retirement, enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, bingo and trips to Las Vegas. Josephine married long-time sweetheart, Michael (Mike) Confer on May 25, 1996, and enjoyed these hobbies and trips with Mike, too. When Mike’s health declined, Jo and Mike moved to Loughlin, Nevada, where Jo cared for Mike until his passing on December 30, 2003 After Mike’s passing, Jo moved back to Wheat Ridge from Aurora, where she lived until her peaceful passing on October 12, 2021.
Josephine is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Vienna; her loving husband Michael Confer; her siblings Ralph (Rose) Pullano, Rose (Alfred) DiManna, James Pullano, Lucille (Harvey) Burkhardt, and John (SallyAnn) Pullano. She is survived by her siblings Virginia Roberts, Fran Hawkins, Loretta (Darrel) Dugger, Kathryn Pullano, Mary Ann (Michael) Buccino, and Barbara Jean Fioravanti; numerous cousins, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and two step-grandchildren, Tamara and Joshua Confer.
Following the committal service at Mt. Olivet the family invites you to a reception at Hyland Hills Municipal Golf Course, 9650 Sheridan Blvd., Westminster, Colorado 80031.
