JoAnn M. Vasquez

JoAnn M. Vasquez née Gallegos and wife of Albert E. Vasquez of Trinidad, Colorado passed into Heaven on Sunday, January 29, 2017. She was succeeded by her sister Jeanne Gallegos, her beloved sons, Albert B. (Lisa), Charles (Kathy), John, Chris, and Stacy. She was grandmother to Alyssa, Leandra, Michael, Anthony, Vanessa, Gabriela, Kaylee, and Kristen. Great grandmother to Noah, Akai, Alexander, and Xavier.

JoAnn was born and raised in Trinidad, Colorado; San Francisco, California, and Albuquerque, New Mexico. She graduated from Albuquerque High School where she showed interest in English and Literature. She then attended the University of New Mexico interested in the Diplomatic Service. JoAnn ws fluent in Spanish as well as English. After one year in school, she met a tall and handsome young Albert Vasquez. She left UNM to be his wife and start a family as this was something she always wanted to do.

She is preceded in death by parents John and Rose Gallegos, husband, Albert, and son, Michael. All services at Crown Hill Mortuary and Cemetery with reception to follow.
