Elton (Jerry) Morris was born January 11, 1932 in Ladysmith, Wisconsin to Geraldine and Elton Morris. He had 3 brothers and one sister. Kay, Mike, and Joanne who have preceded him in death and two daughters; Lisa and Lucretia who have preceded him. He has one surviving brother, Terry Morris from Coleville, Washington. He is survived by his loving wife, Saunny Morris of 49 ½ years, who resides in Lakewood, CO. He was a loving father to four children: Janine (Rodney) Poe, Linda Campain, Danelle (Kevin) Hilgers and Chip (Barbara) Cowgill. He also has 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.
Jerry was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed spending time at his cabin in North Park Colorado, where he hunted, fished, hiked and snowmobiled with family and friends. He was a Horticulturist by trade and was well known for his expertise in Dwarf Conifers, Character Pines, Bonsais, and Ancient Evergreens. He was active in the Rocky Mountain Bonsai Society and Denver Botanical Gardens.
