A memory:
Stu was very supportive of our Homeowner's Association and was willing to serve on our HOA Board.  With his guidance, we kept our meetings on track . . . and learned.
Words meant something with Stu.
His sincerity and friendship brought out  our better side.

Virginia, I'm saddened to learn of the passing of Stu. It was just a short time ago that I saw you and him at Los Delicious on 19th St.  I still miss 'his' newspaper for Capitol Hill as it has evolved into something else.
May you continue to enjoy your family as you transision into a life which is missing the love of your life.

Virginia and family, Stu was a dear friend and colleague.  He will be missed.  Your friendship and hospitality will be a life-long memory for me.  I'm sorry I won't be able to attend the memorial service on Friday.  My thoughts and prayers will be with you all.

Stu loved going to the races in Erie.  The races ranged from nascar to midget.  Stu would invite all his family along for fun and eats. Weather it be dinner before or indulging in eating at the races (not alway healthy) but we all had  a great time. We would sit at the top of the bleachers to get the best view of the track. Stu would bring all his quarters, split them up evenly in bags so we could all bet on which car we thought  would win. That was his way to engage all of us in having fun, and those races were fun.

Stu was a significant political force for the Article V movement. His work preparing monthly reports for the Article V State Legislators Caucus for over a decade helped educate and encourage state legislators and others all across our country. We will miss his always positive encouragement and wise counsel.
He will also be remembered for his work as the Public Relations director for Rockmont College in the early 60's where he was instrumental in moving the college to the campus which is now the home of Colorado Christian University.

In 1975, Stu established Life on Capitol Hill, a newspaper for the neighborhood east of the Capitol which was in drastic transition.  He oversaw the sheet until the early 1990s.  During that period, it did what a newspaper is supposed to do:  cover all aspects of the area.  Included were critical stories along with booster pieces.  In the process, he left an enduring legacy.  More can also be said about his involvement with motor scooters, the liquor business, Colfax improvements, Belmar Park, and real estate.  He needs to be remembered.

Stu was a wonderful adventure loving brother-in-law and loving husband to my sister.  We spent so many fun visits and trips with them, laughing, talking and sharing our experiences.  Thanks for the memories, Stu.  We will never forget you and will miss you forever.  Rest in peace.

I will alway remember Dad for being there when I needed him.   Spending his last days talking about Golden Arches, eating Hibachi, speeding around with  his new walker with brakes and a SEAT sharing with Mom if she was tired.  Also his last words to me when we left that night LOVE U GIRL. Dad I will miss u always, until we meet again. Your daughter Sheri

Sorry for your loss. When I was much younger I worked for Stu and Virginia and they treated me like one of their own! They left an absolute impression on my life that I will always remember and am grateful for! Even in business they are both very loving and kind people.you all have my heartfelt thank you and sorrow.
