To my most precious Angel, it has taken me 3 yrs to come on here and write this. Words will NEVER be able to describe the pain I felt and continue to feel when you left me. You were the dad I never really had! We built so so so many memories together! We traveled, went on cruises, visited other countries. We had dinner dates, you took me riding on the bike. You were there for the most important parts of my life! You held me up when my dad passed and never left my side. You were there when my kids were born and to walk me down the isle at my wedding! Our trips to the casino to cash in our free tickets and meals!!! You were my world! These last three years have been tough! I feel like I have not been able to grieve! Things have wrapped up not exactly the way you wanted but that’s ok! We put up a damn good fight and I got ultimately what I wanted and that was you!!!  I know your proud of me! You visit me often still in my dreams guiding me these last 3 years. God I love and miss you so much! I talk to you everyday and I look at our book that sits next to you in my living room! I listen to your voicemails and read our texts often!  I would give anything to have you back!  Please continue watching over us! You can go and rest now the fight is over! I love you more than ANYONE will ever know!!! 

Nick I will miss you so very much.  I will not be able to come to your services it's just too painful. I'll never forget when you taught me to ride from Red River to Denver and then you cared enough to sell me the FLH as it had so many memories and is so special to me. Now at least I still have a part of your memory with me always. I know you're kicking it with the best of the angels because you had the heart of one before you ever joined them. I love you and will miss you until the day we meet again in Heaven.

Cousin Nick, you sponsored me when I made my First Holy Communion therefore making you my godfather! You were a big part of my life growing up because you and my mom, Cindy, were so close. Going over to visit Grandma Baca always entailed knocking on your door to say hello.  Or, if you weren't home, sneaking in your garage with the younger cousins to see the nudie chicks on motorcycles😆 It's been well over 15 years since I've seen your handsome face in person. You were such a generous person you even helped me buy my first car when I was a teenager. Thank you for your support when I was growing up!

Nick, I want you to know that I always had a lot of fun times with you that will be cherished always. We had a great time fishing, camping and riding for a long time. My heart goes out to all the family. You will be missed by all of your family and friends who were also family to you. I will always remember you and the fun we had. Love you 

My precious cousin Nick. . . leader of the “ Barracuda’s” (boy cousins). I will forever remember you as a kind and giving man.  You always went the extra mile to make family gatherings just a little more special, like bringing and sharing the best fireworks on the Fourth of July.  I will miss your occasional phone calls just to chat, while you were on the road working.   Although my fondest memory of our fun times together, is when you took me to the U2 concert, and we would look at each other and smile, while singing their songs. Sending love to all the family in this tragic time. I use to run into Nick at the casino, when I worked up there. He was always  so easy going and smiling and  seemed to be so happy.. He definitely was a well respected man. May he rest in peace.

I remember cousin Nick throughout my life. How he went through things with his brother who I always thought brought a smile to our faces. I remember Auntie's lake house and how the whole family used to come. Recently Nick got a house closer to me. We played with his Kodi box trying to get that miss to work. I remember him having wild meat he would always be generous to give. He lived next to cousin Mona for years and we would see him at times. I know he liked his privacy and was a good man. Crazy how some people are here today and gone tomorrow. I hope I can still learn not to take life for granted. Our family is slowly moving away from our younger generation. Til we are all together again in the heavens. God bless brother and RIP.

My dear dear cousin Nick. We are only days apart in age and only you and I have ever known the closeness and love we shared growing up. I remember all the fun times playing at uncle Charlie's and aunt Eli's house.  You, me, Mona, Brown, Cindy and Lorraine and little Jerry.  I cherish the memories at grandma Lucy's house and your house by the federal theater.  You will be missed deeply.  RIP my cousin till we meet again.

Heartfelt condolences  to the Barela Family.  I was  saddened by the news of Dominic's passing.  We worked in the same area early mornings.  Dominic was such a hard worker. Likewise, he was such a nice gentleman always respectful and kind.  He will be missed in our dock area. 

May the family find comfort in the Holy Scriptures.   Acts 24:15 "I have hope toward God...that there is going to be a resurrection.."

I had the awesome pleasure of meeting Mr. Barela on the very first day I started at Beco Inc. He made me feel so welcome and always showed the upmost respect. I am very thankful that I had the time I did to work with him He will definitely be missed. Rest in Peace my good friend, and fly with the angels.

Dominic has been my friend for a long time. We stood side by side during  our High School {North}  graduation ceremony.   Dominic and I spent many days and night camping and fishing. He was stand up man you could count on to have your back. He was my friend and I will miss him.

My Uncle Dominic Lee Barela was more important and Family than he could have ever imagined in all of our minds, lives, & worlds really! He shall therefore be remembered for the Devine soul he possessed and joy he manifested unto all. He was stubborn yes but ever was he so kind and true to those he held dear and in my mind brought a cause for celebration with his presence. May he rest in the afterlife and or next life and not be as weary and tired as life may at times make us! I love you my dear uncle R.I.P.

Domonic, I have known you since I was 12.  As everyone knows I fell in Love with Your Brother David. I had our two Perfct Girls Valerie and Brandi.  I am going to miss you like crazy. You were always there for David. Myself and the Girls. Now You are an Angel up above, please continue to watch over the Girls(kids) and know that they will always do you and I Proud.  I love you Brother Rest easy your work is done.  I Love You Always.  I Love You My Girls. You Both are beyond Amazing.  Love Mom!
