Dallas Avery LeBeau

Dallas was born in Wheat Ridge, Colorado and grew up in Gilpin County along with his younger brother Dusty. He attended Gilpin County school from Pre-K through 12th grade, graduating in 2021. He loved playing baseball and skiing. He also enjoyed dirtbikes, cars and snowmobiles. In summer he liked boating and cliff jumping with friends. After high school he worked in home improvement, at Highland Marina in Grand County, outfitting custom vans and most recently as a Big Mountain Ski Coach at Winter Park. Dallas competitively skied in many disciplines from the age of 8. Moguls, Park and Pipe and most recently in Freeride World Qualifier hoping to one day get on the Freeride World Tour. When he wasn't chasing snow storms, he enjoyed gourmet food, legos, fast cars, watching movies and traveling to France and Maryland to spend time with his extended family.

Dallas embraced everyone young and old and was quick to make friends whom he made sure to keep in touch with. Family was important to him and he always tried to be home for family dinner when he was in the area. He always wanted to keep things fun and light hearted, always wanting to include everyone. Whenever he threw a party it could never be big enough. Dallas was a thrill seeker and always lived life to the fullest. His motto was, "Live everyday like it's your last."

Survivors include his parents, Jason and Valerie LeBeau, his brother Dusty, his girlfriend, Sophia Morris, his grandparents Jeff and Carole along with many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Paul and Yvette Rousset.

His celebration of life will be held at Bethany Lutheran Church, 4500 E. Hampden Ave., Cherry Hills Village, CO 80113 at 10 am on April 26th. The family will be available to greet people starting at 9:15 am. Reception immediately following.

Donations will be received in Dallas’ honor by the Friends of Berthoud Pass. Friends of Berthoud Pass (FOBP) is a non-profit, grassroots collective of backcountry enthusiasts committed to preserving the legacy of public recreation at Berthoud Pass through promoting safety education, backcountry access and environmental stewardship.

Donations received by FOBP in the last 2 week of April will automatically be directed into Dallas’ memorial fund.

Donations made beginning May 1 should include an email sent to [email protected] to designate your donation to Dallas’ fund.
