Christopher Paul Trujillo, known for always being a bright light in the lives of those around him, left us on February 21, 2024, at the age of 39. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on May 8, 1984, Chris was the spirited 3rd addition to the Trujillo family lineup, joining his parents, Lorie Manzanares and Guy Trujillo, and siblings Heidi, Nicholas, Desaray, and Kara.
Chris was a man who truly knew the value of connection—whether it was wiring communities through his work as a contract technician or linking hearts with his warm, engaging personality. His career at Direct TV, which spanned a commendable 16 years, saw him climb the channels of success in various positions. Even during his high school days at Westminster High School, he was already sowing the seeds of a nourishing future, working at Sweet Tomatoes and Old Navy with his best friend, David.
A man who never dropped the ball when it came to family and friends, Chris is survived by an ensemble cast of loved ones: his parents Lorie and Guy, his cherished daughter Nevaeh, his partner of 5 years, Adrianna Huerta and her 4 children, his 4 supporting siblings, his 3 scene-stealing nephews, and a crew of cousins, aunts, uncles and of course, countless friends!
Chris's life was a series of well-crafted episodes, full of laughter, dedication, and love.
The day his daughter was born was by far the best day of his life. When Nevaeh was born, everything changed. Being a father was his biggest accomplishment. He loved her more than anything in this world.
His love for sports was unmatched. He was a die hard Broncos fan! He bled blue and orange just like the rest of his family but he was also an avid Nuggets and Avalanche fan. Witnessing 3 Broncos Super Bowl wins in his short life was definitely a highlight.
Chris had a sense of humor that was contagious. If he was around, you were sure to laugh until your stomach hurt! Music was one of his passions. He was always the DJ, aka DJ C-Dogg, at any event! He loved to share new music with anyone who would listen. If you knew him personally, you know that he was always down for a dance battle! He was quite the entertainer. Chris's presence will be sorely missed.
His story may have reached its finale, but the reruns of his most cherished moments will continue to play in the hearts of those who loved him. Tune in to your memories, and there you'll find him, forever part of the show.
