March 28, 1925 - March 24, 2015
Betty Jean Dagerman Eule, 89, passed away on Tuesday, March 24th, 2015 at home, surrounded by her family. Her passing was preceded by an acute illness that lead to her hospitalization and subsequent Hospice care at home.
Betty was born in Papillion, NE on March 28, 1925 to Clarence and Dora Dagerman. She spent her childhood years in Papillion with her four siblings; Faye, Dorothy, Donna and Leonard. She graduated from Papillion High School in 1942. She first worked at an electric supply house in Omaha, NE as a secretary. She then went on to work for a brief time at the Pentagon. She moved back to Omaha and was employed by the Chief of the Missouri Valley Army Corp of Engineers. She met John Eule Jr. at Gateway, a young adult group at First Presbyterian Church. They were later married on June 23, 1957 at First Lutheran Church in Omaha.
In 1959, Betty was transferred to Denver where John began his Radiology residency at the University of Colorado. Their first home was in Aurora, Colorado where they brought home their first child, John, in 1960. The birth of John lead to Betty's retirement from the working world to take on the more challenging position of a full-time mother. On August 1, 1962, the young family moved to their current residence in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Jeff was born in 1962, quickly followed by Kristine in 1964 with James bringing up the rear in 1968. With her love, strength, wisdom and a heavy dose of patience, Betty guided her 4 kids through childhood to become adults with their own families. Betty gracefully took on the role as Grandma in 1990 with the birth of Corbin to Jeff and Connie. She eventually added 8 more grandchildren: Colette, Matthew, Mikhala, Danielle, Dominique, Michael, Grady, and Christopher.
Betty had a kind and generous heart, and she always thought of others first, putting their needs above her own. Betty is survived by her husband John, her four children and their spouses, Anne, Connie, Ed and Christine, and nine grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and countless friends. She will be deeply missed.
Betty is survived by the love of her life, her husband of 57 years, John; children John (Anne) Eule, Jeff (Connie) Eule, Kristine Eule (Ed Massa) and James (Christine) Eule; grandchildren Matthew Eule, Mikhala Eule, Corbin Eule, Colette Eule, Danielle Eule, Dominique Eule, Michael Massa, Grady Eule and Christopher Eule.
