90, of Lakewood. Born March 3, 1923 in Kankakee, Illinois and passed away March 30, 2013 in Lakewood, Colorado. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Shirley E. Schmidt, sons Steven (Louise) Schmidt and John (Barbara) Schmidt, grandchildren Molly Schmidt, Jared (Nicole) Schmidt and Matthew Schmidt, 4 step grandsons, 15 step great grandchildren,1 step great great grandchild, sisters Darcy Thielke and Evelyn Mullen. He was preceded in death by his parents Walter and May Belle Schmidt, brother Thomas V. Schmidt, brother in law Harris Thielke and brother in law Wayne Mullen. He was a WWII Navy Veteran and a man of faith. He will be lovingly remembered.
