A real craftsman and outdoorsman, Paul was exceptionally skilled at making baskets, knives, canoes, and snowshoes. He was a life member of the Digby ATV club and spent many years teaching Hunter Safety Courses. Paul had a keen interest in local history and collected many pictures and articles related to Weymouth and the surrounding areas.
Paul’s battles with health issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges, but he never lost hope or optimism.
He was always planning his next adventure with one of his many hunting and fishing buddies and sorely missed his dear friend Terry.
He survived by his devoted and caring wife of 58 years Joan Weaver and his four children Andrew (Rita), Paula (Tracy), Darren (April) and Jason (Joyce). He was very proud of his grandchildren Adrienne, Tyler, Dana, Robyn, Grace, Jessie and Lindsay and was quick to tell everyone of their accomplishments.
Paul was pre-deceased by his parents Peter & Esther Weaver.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Victorian Order of Nurses (VON) https://von.ca/en/donate-von (designation: Tri-County).
Please help us celebrate Paul’s life by stopping in between 1 & 3 on Monday, February 5th at Jayne's Funeral Home, Weymouth. Pastor Shawn Craven will share a few words at 2pm.
