Catherine Gertrude Dugas

Sadly we inform you that Catherine Gertrude Dugas of New Edinburgh passed away at home on February 16th, 2018 at age 71. Born in New Edinburgh, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Gertrude (Raymond) Doucette. Catherine was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and caregiver, she was always thinking of others. She worked as a personal care worker at Villa Acadienne and in private home care. She loved her family and enjoyed family gatherings, bowling and knitting. Catherine is survived by her husband, Eddie Dugas; daughters, Paulette Dugas (Chris Westcott), Dianne Dugas (Brian Saulnier), Claudette (Ashton) Gavel, Yvette (Leamon) Doucette; son, Gerald (Leonie) Dugas; grandchildren, Jennifer, Justin, Brandon, Jeffrey, Erik, Tyler, Keerie and her first great-grandchild is on the way. Besides her parents, Catherine was predeceased by, her sister, Elsie Deveau. As per her wishes, Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are welcome to celebrate her life at the family home for an open house on Monday, February 19th 2018 any time after 1pm.
