Paul Eugene Verot

Paul was born March 27, 1924 to Sophie and Louis Verot in Souris Valley, Saskatchewan, the second eldest of five children. He married the love of his life, Maria (nee Lacasse) in 1955. Sadly, they had a short time together as Mary passed away in 1967. Paul devoted his life to raising his children and never remarried. Paul farmed near Grassdale, SK. For many years after he retired he continued to enjoy driving out to the farm to help out or to visit his sons. He loved horses and could recite the name of every one he owned. He enjoyed spending his retirement with horses and chickens and barn cats in the same way many enjoy golf or fishing in their retirement. He loved his family and his birthplace.

Paul will be lovingly remembered by his children, Diane Harron (Fred Morrow), Linda Verot (Rudy Skapin), Rick Verot, Ken Verot (Michele Baer), Leanne (Mike) Deighton; eight grandchildren, Michelle, Nicole, Corey, Derrick (Michelle), Whitney, Stephanie, Alison and Danielle; seven great grandchildren; brother, Alphonse Verot; sister, Aimee Stensrud; sisters-in-law, Bernadette and Alexina Verot as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Paul was predeceased by his parents, Louis and Sophie Verot; wife, Maria Verot; brothers, Peter and Leon; brother-in-law, Hank Stensrud and sister-in-law, Melvina Verot.

The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Radville, Saskatchewan with Father Gerry Bauche celebrating. Interment will follow in Radville~Laurier Cemetery, Radville, Saskatchewan.
