Keedo was a proud husband, father and grandfather. He was a lifelong farmer starting when he was 14 and remained involved and interested right up to the end. Besides the farm, he loved hockey and seldom missed a game (home or away) if his boys or grandkids were playing.
Keith was a big part of the community - he helped to build the rink, was a 54 year member of the Elks and a long-term member of the Rural Fire department. He was well known for his amazing memory and ability to answer history questions. He loved to visit with family and friends especially if it involved a glass of scotch. We were able to have him home for one last visit on Boxing Day and when his friend Artie walked in he looked and said “what took you so long”. He had been waiting for a drink with him for a long time.
Keith was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Margaret Ohrt; in-laws; sister & brother-in-law, Joyce (Quent) Schwenke and sister-in-law, Phyllis Ohrt.
Keith will be forever loved and missed by his wife of 53 years, Moyra Ohrt of Milestone, SK; son, John (Tanya) Ohrt of Milestone, SK; son, Allan (Rena) Ohrt of Milestone, SK; grandchildren, Ethan and Alyssa;
brother, Allen Ohrt of Fargo, ND; cousins, Bob (Doris) and Tracy as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A private family service will take place at a later date. Keedo hated a funeral so have a visit with friends
and toast in his honor with a scotch.
In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that donations in Keith’s memory be made to the Milestone Elks Club.
The family would like to thank Weyburn Special Care Home and Weyburn Hospital as well as special thanks to nurse, Janice for all their care and kindness.
