Theresa Sansone

Theresa Sansone, 94, of West Hartford, loving wife of the late John J. Sansone, went to her eternal rest with the Lord, Saturday, (April 2, 2011.) She was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Giugitta Martino. Terry's memory will be cherished by a host of nieces, nephews and friends, one being William Tummillo with whom she made her home. She was predeceased by her siblings, William Martino, Rocco Martino, Anthony Martino, Daniel Martino, Lucy Cardillo, Ann Tummillo and Mary Mascolo. Terry's first job was a bookkeeper at Rocco Pallotti's Paramount Diner in Hartford. Terry retired as a secretary at the former Connecticut Bank and Trust Company. Prior to CBT she worked for many years as a secretary for the Links Insurance Agency. Terry was a member of the CBT Retiree Club, Boys Town of Italy, Young Italian Association, Bel Compo Choir, Professional Secretaries Association and the Italian Junior League. She was a longtime faithful communicant of Our Lady of Sorrows Church and a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Ladies Club. A special thank you to the family's two angels, Annie and Betty, whom she loved, their daily care and dedication will always be remembered. Terry was a loving aunt and a very religious woman who watched the daily TV Mass. She was a special individual to so many people; she will be greatly missed by all who had the wonderful opportunity of knowing her. Funeral service will be Wednesday (April 6) at 9 a.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd. Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 79 New Park Avenue, Hartford. The burial will be in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Calling hours are Tuesday (April 5) from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
