Steven S. Czerwinski, 58, of Bolton, passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 after a long illness. Born in Hartford on August 8, 1965, he was the son of Stanley Czerwinski Jr. and Joan L. (Clinch) Czerwinski. He grew up in East Hartford and graduated from East Catholic High School in 1983. After high school, he worked with his father at his home remodeling company until 1996 when he opened his own company, Steve Czerwinski Inc., from which he retired in 2020. The company grew and thrived as a result of Steve’s hard work and dedication. In 1996, he married his wife, Lynne (Thibodeau) Czerwinski, with whom he shared a happy 28-year marriage. They worked together, traveled the world together, and spent countless summer days at their cottage in Westerly, RI. Steve had passions for boating, fishing, billiards, and boxing. He could frequently be found working on his newest building project or planning his next boating excursion off the coasts of Rhode Island and Connecticut. Steve most importantly loved sharing all of his adventures with his family and closest friends, whom he loved unconditionally. Steve was widely known as a kind man with good humor, who could always be found with a smile on his face. Friends and customers alike fondly remember Steve going above and beyond for those around him.
In addition to Lynne, Steve leaves his two cherished daughters, Alyssa and Kylee Czerwinski, both of Bolton; his mother, Joan of Avon; his two sisters, Catherine Gibson-Gosnell and her husband James of Farmington, and Terri Czerwinski and her husband Lester of Glastonbury; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and a host of friends. Steve was predeceased by his father, Stanley Czerwinski, in 2022.
A Memorial Service celebrating Steve’s life will begin with the family receiving guests on Friday, January 5 from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. followed by a Chapel Service at 12:30 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. He will be laid to rest privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation www.parkinson.org.
