Michele was born on July 21, 1960 in Hartford to the late Arthur and Phyllis (LeGeyt) Floyd. Through mutual friends in the South End, Michele met her husband of over 20 years, Thomas R. DeForge (Kathy) of Enfield. Michele had a long career at the American Red Cross, Farmington, and then in the Health Unit at Eversource Energy, Berlin. Michele was also an accomplished hairstylist and taught cosmetology at the International Institute of Cosmetology, Wethersfield. Family was everything to Michele and she truly cherished every moment she could spend with them. Along with her two sons and their wives, Michele is survived by her brother, Richard Floyd of Bristol; a niece, Jennifer Tracy of Moncure, NC; a nephew, Robert Bush (Heather) and his two children Rory and Jackson of Bristol; a special aunt, Mary Dean Floyd and cousins in Maryland and Virginia. In addition to her parents, Michele was pre-deceased by her sister and best friend, Jacqueline A. Cayer (Cliff) and grandson, Noah R. Saunders.
Funeral services will be private. D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield, is entrusted with the arrangements.
