Michael Anthony Rossano, 59, of Wethersfield, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Hartford Hospital with his family by his side. He was born on June 6, 1961 in Hartford to the late Louis and Elizabeth (Abate) Rossano. Michael graduated from Bulkeley High School in 1979. He was employed by Macy’s as a sales associate in the men’s suit department. He had a loving and gentle nature with a great sense of humor. He loved camping, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. Michael will be most remembered for his personality and kindness toward others. He had two nicknames: The Mayor (Everywhere he went, somebody knew him), and Mr. French (When taking care of his nephew and niece, he would also take care of house chores for his sister).
Mike is survived and dearly missed by his brothers, Joseph and Ralph Rossano; his sister, Mary Montanez and husband Jose and his adored niece and nephew, Jacob and Amanda Montanez, as well as many godchildren and his friends’ children, who all called him Uncle Michael.
Calling hours will be Friday (May 21) from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. concluding with a Prayer Service at 12 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. Burial will be private.
