Josephine (Sajdlowski) Zak, 84, of Glastonbury, loving wife to Richard Daniel Zak, peacefully passed away, Thursday, July 4, at her home surrounded by family. Josephine was born March 6, 1940, and raised in Hartford, one of three daughters of the late Albert and Irene Sajdlowski. Josephine attended Hartford schools, graduating from Bulkeley High School.
She and Richard, raised their son Dan in Hartford. She was employed by The Travelers Insurance Co. for 50 years as a Claims Analyst. Once Dan was on his own, Josephine and Richard moved to Wethersfield in 1990 and resided there for many years, prior to moving to Glastonbury to be closer to their grandchildren. Josephine devoted her time to be a grandmother, it was all about the grandchildren. She would attend all their activities.
Along with her husband Richard, Josephine will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her cherished family; her son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Kristine Zak, three adored grandchildren, Dan, Adam, and Kaitlin Zak, all in Glastonbury; and her sister Geneve. In addition to her parents, Josephine was pre-deceased by a sister Wanda Chester, and a grand-daughter, Anne Marie Zak.
