Hayden was educated in the Massachusetts school system, after graduating from West Roxbury High School in 1989 he attended Northeastern University in Boston.
In 1998 he married the love of his life, Wanda Y. Estremera and together they raised three children, Brittany, Hayden Jr. and Makayla.
Hayden was a family man: whether it was taking family vacations, staying at home with his wife, children and fur babies Max, Peanut, Stormy and Milo. He had a very close relationship with his uncle Benjamin Jones and always made himself available to help his friends and family member’s.
Hayden was employed with the State of CT Department of Developmental Services for 28 years where he was loved by the residents and peers. Haydens’ coworkers and family and friends can agree that he was a great guy.
Hayden was an avid sports and music fan. His favorite teams were the New England Patriots, Boston Celtics and Boston Red Sox. He was loyal to these teams, he could argue for hours in their defense. He was their number one fan! And let’s not talk about his love for New Edition, he was the sixth member. He will always be remembered by His infectious smile, cheerful spirit and singing voice will be greatly missed.
Hayden Lindsey Jones, Sr. passed away January 18, 2023, surrounded by his family and loved ones at Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven, CT.
Hayden leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Wanda Estremera Jones; his daughters Brittany and Makayla Jones and his son Hayden Jones, Jr.

His mother-in law and father-in-law, Haydee and Santiago Sierra of CT; His sisters-in-law, Zulma Gonzalez, Maribel Aponte, Elizabeth (Arthur) Mayes, of CT, Sonia and Christina Sierra of SC and His Brother-in-laws Wilson Aponte, Elias Estremera of CT and Nelson Estremera of SC. His grandmothers, Minnie Jones, and
Mona McKenzie of CT; his aunts, Priscilla (Norman) Mercer of MD, Lynnee Jones of CT; his uncle, Benjamin Jones of CA; his cousins Lynneiya (Kevin) Motyka of CT; Brittani Wynn and Brandon Jones of MD, and Alex Jones of NY, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Hayden was preceded in death by his grandfather, Benjamin Jones, Sr; brother-in-law, Fernando Aponte; and sister-in-law Yolanda Estremera.
Family and friends are invited Thursday, January 26, 2023 for a time of visitation from 4:00 PM -6:00 PM followed by a Celebration of Life from 6:00-7:30 pm at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield
Funeral Service will be Friday, January 27th, visitation time 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, Burial will follow at Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, 1 Cottage Grove Road, Bloomfield, Connecticut.
