Giuseppe Veneziano, 64, of Cromwell, beloved husband of Concetta (Buscema) Veneziano, passed away suddenly on Friday (February 17, 2012). Born on April 19, 1947 in Floridia, Sicily, he was the son of the late Santo and Carmela (Sutera) Veneziano. Giuseppe was a mason by trade and enjoyed helping his children build their homes. He was a member of the Floridian Society Club, enjoyed gardening and was always helping people. He was an avid soccer fan and enjoyed watching his team Juventus play. Giuseppe's greatest joy was his family, especially spending time with his grandchildren. Besides his wife of 36 years, he is survived by his son, Santo Veneziano and his wife Kelly of Cromwell; his daughter, Carmela Veneziano Berube and her husband Jim of East Berlin; his brother, Mimmo Veneziano and his wife Nucia of Floridia and his sisters: Angela Veneziano Caramagno and Maria Veneziano Tata of Floridia; Nucia Veneziano Calafiore and her husband Paolo of Cromwell, Carmela Veneziano Calafiore of East Hartford, and Nina Veneziano DiMascio and her husband Erminio of Wethersfield. He is also survived by his two beloved grandchildren, Melissa and Amanda Veneziano; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Carmelo and Lucia Buscema of Cromwell; his sister-in-law, Nella (Romano) Veneziano of Floridia; his brothers-in-law, Salvatore Sala of Floridia and John Buscema and his wife Connie of Rocky Hill, and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. He will also be missed by his cat Fluffy. Giuseppe was predeceased by his brother, Salvatore Veneziano, his sister Rosetta Veneziano Sala and brothers-in-law Aliano Caramagno, Ottavio Tata and Salvatore Calafiore.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 23 at 10 a.m. at St. Luke Church, 66 Bolton Street, Hartford. Everyone is asked to proceed directly to church.
