Angelo Joel Lopez

Angelo Joel Lopez, 24, entered eternal rest on July 29, 2021 at Hartford Hospital. Born in Hartford on September 16, 1996, he was the son of Rosaisela Ortega and the late David “Jincho” Lopez. He attended Hartford and Wethersfield Public Schools.

Joel was a social butterfly making friends everywhere he went, he brightened everyone’s day with his charismatic charm. He will always be remembered for his illuminating smile that would light up any room he walked into. Joel had a passion for cars, a gift for making music, and was highly skilled at drawing. Most of all, he loved creating memories with family and friends.

He is survived by his son, Gionni Lopez and was anticipating the birth of his daughter, Alina Lopez. He leaves behind the mother of his children and partner in life, Madlin Bankers; a devoted, loving and dear-to-his-heart surrogate mother Unicy Cartagena; uncle Diego Lopez; seven siblings, David Lopez, Elias Lopez, Noel Lopez, Luis Martinez, Auriany Ayuso,Hilda Soto, Zoraida Feliciano and many other loving family and friends. He was predeceased also by his grandmother Hilda Rodriguez.

Joel’s funny, loyal, and entertaining spirit will live forever in the hearts of all those who knew him.

The family will receive family and friends from 9:30 – 11 a.m. on Wednesday (August 4th) at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. A prayer service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in the Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
