Angeline T. (Calvo) DiScipio-Brancato, 94, of the Weatogue section of Simsbury, beloved wife of the late Alvio DiScipio and the late Anthony F. Brancato, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 28, 2024. Born in Hartford on May 23, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Anna (Malinguaggio) Calvo and had lived in the area all her life. She worked for many years as a couture saleswoman for the former G. Fox & Co. Angeline had a deep knowledge of art and history, was an avid reader with a great love for words and she enjoyed watching old movies. However, nothing brought her greater joy than spending time with her family.
A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Angeline will be forever missed by her two sons, Stephen DiScipio and wife Nancy of Granby and Thomas DiScipio and wife Donna of Ellington; five adored grandchildren, Jayne Caron and husband Michael, Thomas DiScipio and wife Victoria, Laura DiScipio, Jenna DiScipio and Dr. Taylor DiScipio and six cherished great-grandchildren, Everett Caron, Mason Tallis, Vivienne Caron, Ella DiScipio, Waylon Tallis and Sophie DiScipio. She is also survived by her two stepsons, Anthony and Salvatore Brancato with their families, as well as several nieces, nephews and many extended family members. She was predeceased by her two brothers, Frank and Paul Calvo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 3 at 11 a.m. at St. James Church of St. Josephine Bakhita Parish, 767 Elm Street, Rocky Hill. Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday from 1-3 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
