Robert Emmett Meehan Sr.

MEEHAN, Robert E Sr, of Westwood, passed on November 6th. Robert was born to parents James & Elsie (Nee Koch) Meehan in Jersey City. Robert is survived by his loving wife Anna , Sons Robert Jr. and wife Laraine & Dennis and wife Jean, Grandchildren Jennifer Ann Sadowski and her husband Albert, Melissa Busardo and her husband John, Kelli Ann Kohrherr and her husband Scott, Lauren Foley and her husband Mark, Meghan Owimirin and her husband Elias, Danielle Meehan and her partner David Rodriguez and Matthew & Andrew Meehan as well as fourteen great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his 2 brothers Dr. James & John Meehan. Robert proudly served his country in the US Navy. He was a longtime locksmith for the Federal Reserve and enjoyed spending his free time in the NJ #15 Civil War Reenactment Group . Robert’s family will receive guests at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood NJ on Tuesday Nov. 10th from 2-4 & 7-9. A Mass celebrating Robert’s life will be held at St. Andrew’s RC Church in Westwood on Wednesday, Nov. 11th at 10AM with entombment at Madonna Cemetery in Fort Lee to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Valley Hospice 15 Essex Rd Suite 301, Paramus, NJ 07652 in Robert’s name.
