To my friend Pete,  From our days at Passaic Collegiate School to Montclair Academy and our "adventure" traveling to college interviews in my brother's 1963 Pontiac Tempest as the usual trio, Goose, Bugs, and Crud, I will miss you even though I can't remember the last time we spoke.   I was really hoping to see you at our MKA 50yr reunion in Oct but I'll have to wait until later. 

If you think of it, could you keep an eye out for a 1909 SVDB for me?  I never did get one and need it to complete my penny collection.   Rest in piece my friend.

We were very sad to hear the news of Peter's passing.  We have many happy memories of time spent together and we smile at the times spent with Peter, Ruth and John out to dinner.  He was a "one of a kind" person.  You are all in our prayers.

I knew Peter for  probable 25 years having been introduced by my friend Claud Murphy.. Although we only saw each other once a year at Mem[phis  we kept in  touch  by phone or email. I am so sorry to hear of the loss of my god father.  My deepest condolences to family and friends at this time. Although it has been a long time since we last saw each other, I will never forget what a nice and kind man he was.

Peter, Ruth and John always shared their home and friendship with me like a family member and I will carry that love and strength with me the rest of my life. Peter was exceptionally giving of his time and acumen. When I battled illness, Peter and the family were always in my corner first and foremost for my strength to return. Peter you will always be an inspiration for me to excel as a person and to be as giving to others as you were to me.

Peter and I were college roommates and soul brothers.  I am so very grateful for having shared 50 years of fond memories with him.   I will miss Pete dearly, beyond words...but...especially on the days that begin with mornings.  All my love to the family.

Peter was a compassionate and caring human being. Honest and trustworthy he was always willing to mentor others.

I'm really going to miss umpiring your games that you pitched. I'll also miss the friendly second guessing of my calls and the banter between innings. I'll miss the comments of You, Vito, Bruce, Eddie, or whomever else sat in the "Beach Chair Peanut Gallery." The bagel store won't be the same every morning. Most of all I'll miss our phone conversations of these last few months as you fought so bravely.
