I woke up this morning with the hopes that this was all a nightmare.  I still have not processed this 100%.  We had 7 years together. Like every relationship we had our ups and downs. Right now, though, I only see the good things.

I see our adventures when I lived in Queens. I see us together at Citifield, you cheering on the Mets for me even though you were a Yankee fan. I see us at MSG cheering on the Rangers as they beat the Devils, even though you were from NJ.  I see us together at hard rock concerts, even though your music taste was a bit different than mine.  You tried sushi for me, even though you hated seafood. 
 
My point is even though we had our differences, you always made the effort just  for me.  My family would always say how polite your were. You had manners and you tried your best to be a gentleman when it mattered most.

I know our relationship ended a year and a half ago, but you were still in my heart until the very end.  I will miss a lot of your finest qualities, Nicky. I will miss your laugh, your smile, and that charming baby face that your carried so well. I will miss your voracious appetite for my cooking. Most of all I will miss how almost always you would tell me how beautiful you thought I was. Even during these rough times when we started to see other people and I wasn't as lucky, you would tell me that no one deserved me if they couldn't see how beautiful I  was.
You definitely had a huge circle of people that loved you, Nicky. I know it was hard to see that, but we were always there. Despite what you were going through, we still loved you.

I lost another lover 10 years ago on March 9th.  It is comforting to know that if there is an afterlife, that you two will finally meet, as you would always tell me that you'd shake his hand for taking care of me all those years ago. 
You will forever be in my heart, Nicky Bear.

Here I am...7am.  Barely slept last night..just like the many nights we spent on the phone pulling all nighters.  

But this is different ...

There is no videos of you ordering two family size meals from McDonald’s and us laughing as we talk about a diet.  

The countless conversations about life and what it could all mean. 

The adventures we would have just sending each other YouTube videos and doing our count down and the hitting “play at the same time” 


Your friendship was something that was never taken for granted and now I would do anything just to hear your voice,see your smile and hear your stories about your daily adventures.  


You simply were the most amazing friend that I have ever had.  You were that “guy” that everyone is proud to be around.  

But most importantly you were my best friend.  The best best friend that anyone could ever have.  

I keep expecting to either wake up from this nightmare or have you call/text me with that laugh of yours ... 

But the truth is that you won’t and that I won’t be waking up from this anytime soon.  If ever.  


There isn’t a single thing that I don’t see or hear or imagine.  That doesn’t have you tied to it in some way shape or form.  

Our talks of dreams and goals and life are ones that I will now carry with me for the rest of my life.   You my friend are the thing that will run through my mind each time I need that strength that you gave me.  

One day the music will play...the lights will shine and the wind will be felt beneath our wings as we smile our way across the heavens.   

Until the day comes, everything.  All my drive and force will come from the Privilege I had of you being my best fiend.  

Your words echo in my mind like a beating drum.  

Your laughter is forever recorded into my ears and heart.  

And your memorie lives on in the hearts of everyone that ever had the Pleasure of beIng blessed to know.
