ORFINI, Mary, 87, a 65 year resident of Westwood, NJ, passed away at her home on Thursday, April 19, 2018. Born in White Plains, NY to John and Emily Blinn, lived in Hillsdale, NJ before moving to Westwood. She is predeceased by her husband, Herman. Mary is survived by her daughter Mary Aiello and her husband John, her sons; John and his wife Stacey, Michael and his wife Patricia, her sister; Carol Thomas, her grandchildren; Michael, Annmarie, Patricia, John, Juliann, Joseph F, Joseph A., James, Vincent and Giavonna; her great grandchildren; Oliver, Luke and Michael. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son; Joseph, her sister; Lillian McCarthy and her brother; Robert. She was a strong, vibrant and loving woman ahead of her time in many ways. She touched the lives of many students during her long career as a Phys. Ed. Teacher at several parochial grammer schools in Bergen County. An avid sports fan, with an incredible sense of humor, known as Mrs. O. For many years she was head of girls basketball program for Bergen County CYO and was Park Director of the Westwood Summer Recreation Program. In her retired years she worked at Giants Stadium in Guest Relations. But most all she cherished time spent with her family. The family will receive their relatives and friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Monday, April 23 from 4-8PM. The Funeral Mass celebrating Mary’s life and faith will be held at Our Lady of Good Counsel R.C. Church, Twp. of Washington, NJ on Tuesday, April 24 at 11AM. Entombment will follow at Garden of Memories, Twp. of Washington, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mary’s name to Compassionate Care Hospice and/or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
