Marie Gallo

Marie Gallo, “Nanny” 89, of Westwood, died on October 17th, 2018. She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony Joseph Gallo, Sr. The daughter of Giuseppe and Jenny Avena, Marie was born and raised in New York City. She then lived in Hillsdale, NJ for 20 years before moving to Westwood in 1983.

Marie loved her family with all her heart. She was a devoted mother to her children, Donna Marie Gallo, Anthony Joseph Gallo, Jr., daughter-in-law Robin and adored her loving grandchildren: Ryan Taylor and his fiancé Katherine Giraud, Briana Marie and her fiancé Patrick Daniel Knuth and Tiffany Kay.

Marie is also survived by her sister Phyllis Richards, twin brothers, John and Peter Avena, and two sisters-in-law, Elaine and Libby. She was predeceased by her brother, Frank Avena.

Visiting hours will be Friday, October 19th, from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road in Westwood with an 8:30 pm funeral service.

Marie will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband on, Saturday, October 20th at 11:00 am. The burial ceremony will be held at Calvary Cemetery 304 Walsh Avenue New Windsor NY.
