Lorraine Marren

Lorraine (Grizler) Marren, 78, a 42 year resident of Emerson passed away on Thursday October 23, 2014. Born in New York City, NY on August 29, 1936 to the late Frank and Helen Grizler. Lorraine loved boating, especially cruising on the Hudson River with her husband Joe and her family. Lorraine loved cats, she actively rescued, fostered and cared for cats for many years with local rescue groups. Lorraine was predeceased by her beloved husband of 37 years, Joseph P. Marren in 2009. She is survived by her children, Deborah Di. Persia and her husband Vincent, Thomas Hills and his wife Joanne, Vicki Elliott and her husband Dennis and Frank “Terry” Hills and his wife Nancy; her step sons, Richard and Thomas Marren; her brother, Robert Grizler and his wife Lonnie; her grandchildren, Dominic, Bryan and Kimberly Di Persia, Thomas and Eric Hills, Dennis, Christopher and Jessica Elliott, Matthew, James and Daniel Hills; her 8 great grandchildren and one niece. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Becker Funeral Home, www.becker-funeralhome.com, 219 Kinderkamack Rd., Westwood, NJ. A private cermony will follow.
