Leona W. Dotson

DOTSON, Leona Witte, 97, of Charlotte, NC, formerly of Mahwah, NJ, passed away on Friday, June 22, 2018. Leona is survived by her loving children Patricia Dotson Raper and her husband Bill and Dan Dotson and his wife Peggy of Bolivia, NC; her grandchildren Kimber-Leigh Welsh, James Welsh, Kristin Dotson and Denis Dotson as well as her nephew Fred Witte of San Diego, CA. She is predeceased by her late husband Charles J. Dotson. Leona worked 23 years as an elementary school teacher in Ramsey, NJ. She was very passionate about nature, learning, traveling and love. The family will receive guests at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Friday, June 29 from 11AM-12PM. A Celebration of Leona’s life and faith will be held at the funeral home at 12PM with interment at Valleau Cemetery in Ridgewood, NJ to follow.
