Lawrence “Larry” P. Austin, age 87, of Pearl River, New York passed away peacefully on February 12, 2021. Larry was born on June 23, 1933. A native of County Kildare, Ireland, he came to this country in the mid-fifties then served honorably in the US Army. He was a skilled carpenter and craftsman and worked for NYC Board of Education for 30 years. Larry is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marie; his daughters Denise, Lori and Claire; his sons-in-law Chris, Tony and Kurt; and his grandchildren Conor, Kristin, Lauren, and Lindsey. Larry is predeceased by his parents Eugene and Anne Austin and six brothers and sisters. He is survived by two sisters Lily Dignan and Colette Austin.
Visitation will be on Sunday, February 21st, 2021 from 2pm – 6pm at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, New Jersey 07675. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 22nd, 2021 at 10am, St. Aedan’s R.C. Church, 23 Reld Drive, Pearl River, NY 10965. The interment follows at St. Raymond’s Cemetery, 2600 Lafayette Avenue, Bronx, NY 10465.
