Joseph Edward Pagnotta, 86, of Westwood, NJ died quietly on Wednesday, December 26, 2012, with his children at his side. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, to Joseph and Rose Pagnotta (nee Molinari). Joseph served his country proudly in the US Army during World War II. He went on to attended college at North Carolina State, and then completed his degree at the Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute. He worked for many years as a structural engineer for Seelye Stevenson Value & Knecht in Manhattan, as well as at various other firms. He was the president of the Westwood Baseball Association when his son Joe was a kid and, after retirement, he volunteered for many years at the Pascack Valley Hospital. He is survived by his wife Shirley, son Joe and his wife Pam, daughter Diane and her husband Jim, and his beloved grandchildren James and Nadine. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 30, from 2-4PM, with services immediately following at Becker Funeral Home.
