Joan Catherine Morton

MORTON, Joan Catherine, 88, of Westwood, NJ passed away on Monday, December 23, 2019. Joan is survived by her beloved children, Vincent and his wife Darlene, George and his wife Margaret, Trish Luhrs and her husband Bob, her sister Eileen, as well as her grandchildren, Michael, Eric, Becca, Ian, Matthew and Erin. She is predeceased by her husband, George, as well as her two brothers, James and Robert. The family will receive guests at Becker Funeral home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ, on Monday, December 30, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Joan's name to (PAL) Portable Assisted Living, 300 Teaneck Road, Teaneck, NJ 07666. Joan has been a long time resident of Westwood and she worked at Pascack Valley Hospital for many years, and then worked for Dr. Vishnu Amin as his Office Manager until she retired. She also worked as a nurse's travel aide as she liked to care for individuals who needed assistance. In the past, Joan was also very active as a member of the America Legion's Women's Auxiliary for years. Joan enjoyed crocheting and made knitted hats for newborn babies throughout the years. She loved going to Atlantic City with her family and friends, and scratching scratch off tickets with her sister, but Joan's number one love were her grandchildren! The family will receive guests at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Rd., Westwood, NJ on Monday, December 30th from 2-4 and 7-9PM.
