Joan J. Donohue

Joan (nee Johnston) J. Donohue, 86 of Lyndhurst, passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2018. Joan was born on July 23, 1932 to Joseph and Theresa Johnston. Joan was the sister of Gloria M. Johnston. She was employed in the restaurant business her whole life. Her last position from 1986 – 1998 was as head banquet bartender at the Park Ridge Marriott. Joan resided in many towns from 1932 to the present. These would include West New York, Palisade Park, Ridgefield Park before buying her condo in Lyndhurst. She then moved to Care One at Norris in Parsippany in 2015. Joan will be missed there, especially Linda, her nurse and Luise, her caregiver and friend. Beloved mother of Laura Corino-Policastro of Wyckoff; super Nana to Kyle; beloved cousin to Kevin and Toni Hogan. Family parties won’t be the same without her. Several of Joan’s favorite hobbies were shopping with her daughter, Laura and watching Kyle, her grandson play baseball. She will be sadly missed by all, especially Mildred Corino and her entire family and her extended family of friends. She will be joining her family in Heaven, Momma, Daddy, Gloria, Auntie Mare, Pete, Nana Anne, Nanny and her beloved son- in- law, Joe Joe. Visitation at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, on Sunday 2-6 pm. A Celebration of Joan’s Life will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 10:00 am. Interment at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus to follow.
