Dorothy S. Thompson

THOMPSON, Dorothy S., 84, of River Vale, NJ, passed away Monday, June 9, 2014. Born in Baltimore, MD to Charles and Marie. Dorothy is survived by her Husband of 60 years Clarence “Tom” Thompson, her sons Thomas (wife, Laura); Charles (wife, Susan); Stephen (wife, Lynn) and her daughter Lisa Hogan (husband, Kevin); her grandchildren Halley, Nicholas, Sarah, Elliot, Ethan, Abby, Ian, Meg and Colin; her sister Rose Faggio; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Minnie, Mickey, Mayo and S.J. After raising her children, Dorothy worked as a receptionist for Weight Watchers for 35 years and also as a cashier for Sterns. She was a parishioner of St. Andrew Church and a member of the Columbiettes of the St. Thomas Moore Council, The St. Andrew 50+ Club and the River Vale Senior Friendship Club. The family will receive relatives and friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Andrew RC Church, Westwood, NJ, on Friday at 10:30 AM. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
