Alger Richard Ross

ROSS, Alger Richard, 88, of Montvale, NJ, passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2014. He was born in Sheffield, VT to Leon and Linnie Ross. Beloved husband of the late Joyce Reese Ross. Devoted father of Steven Ross and his wife Joan, Marilyn Hu and her husband Michael and Jeffrey Ross and his wife Debra. Loving grandfather of Jennifer (David), Matthew (Dana), Lindsay, Michael (Megan), Brian (Katie), Alex, Meghan (Kyle) and Kevin. Cherished great grandfather of Jake, Aaron, Brady and Brayden. Al was a graduate of Ohio State University. He was a Structural Engineer having worked for Ragold Associates, Fairfield, NJ. Al was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. The family will receive their relatives and friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Tuesday, May 6 from 6-9PM and Wednesday, May 7 from 10:30AM-11:30AM with a service to begin at 11:30AM. Interment will follow at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Al’s name to either the TriBoro Volunteer Ambulance Corps or the First Congregational Church, Park Ridge, NJ.
