He is my great grandpa and he would tell us don't speak unless spoken to or he would say don't speak unless you know what you're gonna say. Ever since I can remember my father taught me to  “hustle”. Whether it was in baseball (to run fast) that he coached me in or in life (a way to make money) as he showed me how to get the things I needed in life by working hard and learning as many things as I could so that I always had an avenue to make money. 

I can remember that around eight years old he had us kids on roofs tearing shingles off and him payings us to work. No way could he do that today with kids. Yet he did have some grandkids helping him do handyman jobs. I worked with my dad all throughout my life helping him and learning from him everything from how to swing a hammer in roofing to in stalling and wiring alarm systems. I truly am a jack of all trades because my dad taught me how to “hustle”.  

Thank you Dad for making it so, I always made sure I had a roof over my own children’s head and had the ability to provide for them no matter what happened to me in life. I love and miss you. I can’t wait to see you again.

In one of grandpa’s many projects, he sent a picture of his strength to a granddaughter, letting her know not to mess with him (as a joke of course!) haha

I'm going to miss my dad so much. He was tough on us kids but he did it because he loved us so much.
