Missing you but finally starting to remember the good times together and our special childhood together.  Sharing a room, sharing a bed, sharing clothes, sharing our love and especially you sharing your two incredible children with me.  They are doing well and I know you are looking down so very proud of them.  I'm doing my best to keep an eye on them and letting them know how much you loved them.  We are together in spirit my dear sister.

Thank you all for the new comments and memories and especially to Laura's friends at Cowen Heights.  I know Laura was in her glory on Sunday when you celebrated her life with her favorite foods and sharing fond memories.  Thank you for keeping the memory of Laura alive.  It means the world to us, her family.

Hello Everybody!
Today is a very special day, not just for me...but for every single person who was lucky to meet Laura. We gathered today to commemorate the one year anniversary of the beloved, caring and very good friend for many of us. People who knew her like myself, and you will agree with me, that she was the most loveable person that cared so much about the care facility than many of us. But not just for this place. She did perform her duty the best that she knew how and today we've cooked her favorite dish, a very delicious Mexican cooking, Chile Rellenos! I know that she is here with us today and she will join us here because if she was alive, she would be so happy being here enjoying this meal. In very loving memory of Laura Nichols...Rest in Peace.

We are stuffed from the onolicious homemade Chile Rellenos made by no other than Ana and Jovita!We were remembering you fondly and for me, the foxfire and speedbumps will never have the same meaning. I haven't seen Laura since she was a little girl.  I have a picture of Julie, Laura and my daughter when we lived very close to Pat and Mike.  So sorry to hear she is no longer with us

Dear Laura ~  You are the proof to the saying that "God only takes the very best".  We all miss you so much and will never forget you.  May the God I love cradle and keep you in the palm of His hands until we're together again.

It's your birthday and nearly a year since you left us and the reality of it still has not set in.  So many times I go to pick up the phone to share a story or some gossip, and that gut wrenching pain hits again.  I miss you so much.

Laura was one of a kind and I feel priviledged to have known her the past 11 years. May God keep you safely in His arms in peace and comfort Laura. You will never be forgotten.

Laura, you will forever live on in many hearts.  You were such a great kid, and sorry for the times Julie and I pushed you aside just to make us think we were more mature.  But soon you caught up with us.  I will forever remember us chatting in the store for HOURS when Dallas was just a little girl.  God Keep you in his arms till we meet you there. Love and Miss You!

I grew up right next door to Laura & her older sister Julie; Julie & I were almost inseperable as kids & frequently let Laura pal around with us--she was always great fun!  I hadn't seen Julie in 37 years, and, thanks to the Mattie Lou Maxwell Alumni group on Facebook, we were able to re-establish something of our lost friendship a mere 2 days before Laura passed away.  To think I came THIS CLOSE to seeing Laura again, as well, saddens me more than I can express.  I'll never - ever - forget you, Laura, my dear friend!  You will always be part of the landscape of the memories of my childhood.  And thanks for all the fun!

Laura was a truly beautiful person and a great friend.  I am only one of very many who will miss her dearly.

Laura, you truly will be missed by everyone whose lives you've touched especially me. Thanks for the memories, especially dancing at the Sawdust Festival with Marjorie and Debby. I am choosing to celebrate your life, my friend. Rest in peace.

Laura was a great friend, she always made me laugh, and taught me to stick up for myself. She was like a second mom to me when we attended ACC. She will be missed but will always be in our hearts. I will never forget her.

Seven years ago, our family was touched by an angel.  Her name was Laura.  During the most difficult and challenging time of our family's life God sent her to us.  Laura's kindness, compassion and yes, sometimes humor, towards my brother Larry and his family will NEVER be forgotten.  Our hearts are broken 3,000 miles away as we pray for strength and understanding. May the God I love cradle and keep Laura in the palm of His hands until we're all together again.  Our thoughts and prayers are with her family.
