Elliot was born on July 18, 1989 in Long Beach, California to Tom and Stella Blair. He attended Servite High School where he played soccer and graduated in 2007. After high school, Elliot enrolled in California State University, Fullerton and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. Following his graduation from college, he attended Loyola Law School in Los Angeles where he earned his Juris Doctor degree and successfully completed a concentration in criminal justice with honors. In 2017, Elliot got his dream job becoming a deputy public defender with the Orange County Public Defender’s Office.
While interning at the Orange County Public Defender’s Office the summer of his first year of law school, he met the love of his life, Kimberly Williams Blair. Kimberly also was eventually hired as a Deputy Public Defender at the same office. After eight years together, the two were married on January 15, 2022 at Wilson Creek Winery in Temecula, California. They made their home in Orange, California where they bought their dream house.
Elliot was an extremely accomplished young man with many talents, hobbies, and passions. He took on new challenges with extreme focus and soon mastered anything he tried. He loved the outdoors and adventures; off-roading, dirt biking, and camping in the desert. Elliot loved the ocean, beaches, and water sports; snorkeling in Hawaii, the Florida Keys, and Mexico. Elliot was a skilled mechanic, something he learned from working on cars and engines with his beloved father, Tom. He loved food and mastered the art of BBQ and pizza making. Elliot was a talented musician. And displayed his love for music and Kimberly by playing guitar and singing a special song for her on the wedding day.
Elliot was passionate about his work as a public defender. He spent many weekends talking with clients and working on their cases. He especially connected with his clients in the juvenile justice system, spending the extra time to mentor and encourage them. His loss will be greatly felt by all he touched in the criminal justice system.
Elliot is preceded in death by his father, Tom Blair. He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Williams Blair, his mother, Stella Blair, his sister, Candace Chavez Wilson, and his nephew Samuel Ybarra, as well as many cousins, aunts, uncles, and his in-laws.
The world lost an incredible man, husband, and son. We will miss you every day for the rest of our lives. We love you Elliot.
