Mrs. French was my 5th grade teacher at Spring View around 1976 and remains one if my favorite teachers of all time.  She was demanding in terms of academics and discipline but I think every student knew how much she cared about them.  Rest in peace, Mrs. French.

So loved having Mrs. French in Fourth Grade at Spring View School. She was a tough academic, demanding, requiring  respect, but clearly, she had a tremendous impact on thousands of people~

Alice was an outstanding Ocean View School District teacher! During her entire teaching career she contributed greatly to her students and colleagues by 'setting the bar high' for everyone who knew her. I so admired her teaching and mentoring talents! I treasure my memories of working with her on numerous committees. Her love of teaching was a touchstone for my career.

There are only a handful of teachers in your lifetime whom you would call a mentor or friend. When you connect and this person stays with you past that grade in school, follows your academic progress through high school and college, celebrates those graduations with you, asks you to work with her through grad school, then you are ecstatic beyond belief that she will attend the baby shower of your first child....then you have a grasp of the indelible mark Alice French has had on me. She genuinely cared about her students and colleagues, brought personality and humanity to the field in a way you just don't see much anymore. I am blessed to have been touched with her teaching hands and heart. I think of you often, and hope my boys are fortunate enough to have at least one teacher like you in their lifetime!

Mrs. French was my 6th grade teacher at Circle View and is one of my all-time favorite teachers.  She knew how to motivate me to do my very best.  I am so thankful that I was able to have that year in her classroom, and I mourn the loss of a talented and caring educator.  --Marcy Crouch

Alice was an amazing mentor and friend to me at Circle View. I started there in 97 and was fortunate to teach many years with her. She inspired and guided me to become the teacher I am today. I will always remember the many laughs we had together. My thoughts are prayers are with her family.

I enjoyed working with Alice for many years at Circle View. She was an excellent teacher and a great colleague. She touched many young lives, and motivated her students to excel. My condolences to her family.

Alice welcomed me to the Ocean View School District 25 years ago with open arms. She was my mentor and always helped the new teachers feel like part of the Ocean View family.  My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Mrs. French was my 5th grade teacher at Spring View back in the 80's. She was one of the best teachers I ever had and am sorry to hear of her passing.

I remember working with her at Circle View. She had a great personality! She was amazing with her kiddos. Many lives have been touched by her and are better because of it!

Mrs. French was the reason I became a teacher. I was her student in 4th and 5th grade at Spring View and loved every minute. I've now been teaching at Spring View for 16 years, and that spark started thanks to the amazing role model of Alice French. She will always hold a special place in my heart.

Alice was a wonderful role model who touched the lives of many at Ocean View whether they were former students or colleagues.  I appreciated my time with her in the late 1990's while completing my student teaching and her incredible recommendation that has allowed me to work within Ocean View for the past 17 years.
