Thomasine Mitchell (Tommye to her friends and family) was born March 27 1937 in Seattle Washington. Shortly after, she and her mother moved to the Glendale area where she grew up with her aunts, uncles and cousins.
In February of 1960 she married the love of her life, John Mitchell. They set their roots in the Conejo Valley where they raised their two daughters, ran a successful insurance agency in Simi Valley and dabbled in real estate. Tommye loved to travel. Her and John traveled all over the world and took multiple cross country road trips. She had a passion for art and musicals and she could never pass up a good deal. She loved antiques and would hunt the swap meets, garage sales and estate auctions for her treasures. She eventually had spaces in several antique stores to sell her finds.
She passed peacefully Tuesday morning March 29, just two days after her 85th birthday. Thomasine is survived by her husband John, daughter Kathleen, grand daughter Alicia (spouse Jonathan Bordelon) and her three great grandchildren Kameron, Cody and Paisley.
