Most of my memories of Uncle Terry are from my childhood/teen years. When I was very young, I remember he and his brother's playing the guitar together. I remember spending the night at Uncle Terry and Aunt Bonnie's house and getting up in the morning and watching Popeye cartoons with him. He also drew lots of Popeye pictures for me. I remember his love of the Texas storms. I grew up and lived my own life and lost touch with him for many years. In 2016 he obtained my phone number from my sister and reached out to me. From then on, we talked to each other over the phone occasionally.  There were times when we spent a good amount of time visiting and discussing memories from over the years. I'm so grateful that I got to reconnect with him before the end of his time here on earth. He was responsible for some of my fondest memories and will be greatly missed.

I am terrys grandson and loved him so much. I remember when grandpa was telling my dad and I that the go cart we were building and he said that it wasn't going to work, and he was always so realictic on everything and i loved it.

Terry loved his dogs Lila and Lily. They knew when he would be parking his truck.  Barking up a storm…When I let him stay with me after he lost everything in the Paradise fire he had a chance to visit with his sons and grandchildren. He looked forward to their hugs and smiles. Letting them do chores for a spending money.  He just wanted to walk to the mailbox one more time or drive his truck. He’s watching the weather up in Heaven. Rest In Peace Terry Stevens. 

He always added humor to everything. Weather we got a lot of work done to where he replied with “ All this time and that’s all you’ve got done?” Or how me and my siblings made excuses such as “ it wasn’t me “ “ I didn’t do it “ and “ not me “ to where he personified them and kicked them out of the house. He always spoke his mind to whether something could fictionally happen or not. I was playing a futuristic game one time and he said “ that’s not what the future is really going to be like “. It’s so different with him gone. The garage is empty of laughter and the sound of him watching YouTube on his TV. He was so happy when my dad connected the chrome cast so he could watch YouTube from his phone. He loved us so much. And I’m gonna miss him. He did this thing with my little sister where he would put his good hand under his chin and wiggled his fingers as a hello to her. He was so intelligent as well. He made styrofoam board planes and hung them up into the garage. He made one of those farm wind things and a whole Jacobs ladder. He will be missed greatly.

Terry was one of the funniest people I’ve ever met. He brought so much joy to all of his friends and family. One night we talked on the phone for 2.5 hours and he made me laugh so hard I could barely  breathe. Stuff only Terry would say. I loved how Cheyenne would look at Terry with a mischievous sparkle in her eye when they would play. Every night before bed, Cheyenne and I look out the window at the stars and Cheyenne will say goodnight to all of her family members one by one. She continues to say “Goodnight Uncle Terry.” To the most unique man on the planet, you will be so incredibly missed. I love you so much. ✨☁️
