Keith was born and raised in Ventura County with his father, Homer Valle, mother, Adelle Valle, and two siblings, Bryan Valle and Michele Collins. Growing up, he was always by his father’s side, helping him build homes throughout the county, an experience that would make him productive throughout his entire life.
He achieved a bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah and went on to earn a Juris Doctorate from Pepperdine School of Law. It was at about this time that he was set up on a blind date with Susan Katsaros, who would become his loving wife for 35 years. Ultimately, Keith took on and expanded the family electrical contracting business and settled with Susan in the county.
Keith loved his family above all else, and always enjoyed big family meals gathered around the table. As his boys left the nest, he and Susan would frequently go on trips to visit them. Everyone always came together for Thanksgiving and Christmas back home. Family life was full of food, laughter, board games, and togetherness.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Adelle. Keith is survived by his wife and sons, Nathan, Harris (wife Janelle), Evan, and Dean. He is also survived by his siblings and his nieces and nephew.
Keith is gone, but his mark on our lives and our community will outlive him. As an electrical contractor, his work is in hundreds of houses and businesses in the local area. He primarily worked in the oceanfront areas of Oxnard, having wired 150 homes in Oxnard Shores, Hollywood Beach, Silver Strand Beach, Channel Islands Harbor, and Oxnard Dunes.
His greatest achievement in a list of many was his role as a volunteer Project Manager for the construction of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church Camarillo. He spent decades in a leadership role to raise money, acquire land, and personally led the construction of the community’s new church, assisted all along the way by his wife, boys, and great friends. For countless hours of donated time and labor in the endeavor, he was awarded the Medal of St. Paul, the highest award that can be given to a lay member in the Greek Orthodox Church.
In his life, Keith built two homes for his own family, in Oxnard Shores and Camarillo, and was looking forward to building a retirement home in Prescott, Arizona.
A Trisagion service and visitation will be held at 3:00 pm on December 21st at Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Camarillo, CA. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on December 22nd at the church, with the interment following.
