Edward Joseph Scully

Edward Joseph Scully of Newbury Park passed away on Tuesday March 14th, 2023 at the age of 57. He was born on March 19th, 1965 in Manilla, Philippines and then grew up in Mountain Lakes New Jersey. He spent 7 years in Hawaii with his family before coming to California where he eventually met his wife Heather in 1999.

He graduated from University of Hawaii Manoa in 1988.

Edward worked as Creative Director in Marketing, Advertising and Graphic Design for most of his career and opened his own business Barracuda Marketing in Westlake Village and ran the business from 2000 - 2008.

He was actively involved in AYSO, club and High School soccer, as a coach, division director and volunteer since Lauren and Paige started playing soccer at the age of 8. He was an avid fisherman and Cyclist and finished his first half Iron Man in 2009.

Ed is preceded in death by his parents Robert H. Scully and Bernadine L. Scully.

He is survived by his wife Heather Scully, twin daughters Lauren Scully and Paige Scully. Along with brothers Robert Scully, Bruce Scully, Daniel Scully, sisters Diane Reyes, Laurie Lane, and Patricia Delcore.

Ed loved helping people. It’s what made him happy. He loved deep sea fishing, vacationing anywhere tropical, cycling, supporting his children on the sidelines for soccer games and track meets and spending time with his family.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church 2475 Borchard Road, Newbury Park, CA 91320 on April 3rd at 11:00 a.m. A reception at the church will follow the service.
