Bruce Keenan Bell was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, by parents Jim and Doris Bell. He was the eldest of four, with a brother Ronnie and two sisters, Suzi and Sandra. Bruce studied physics and philosophy at Ohio State University and served as an officer in the U.S. Navy. He was a proposal specialist at WellPoint as well as Litton Industries while simultaneously running his own consulting company.
Bruce married the love of his life, Susan Rowan, and became a loving stepfather to her four children, Robin, Kirsten, Kathleen, and Thomas. He later enjoyed becoming a grandfather to eight grandchildren: Jacqueline, Katrina, Christopher, Austin, Matthew, Garrett, Jason, and Sloan. Family was always important to Bruce and he was very devoted to his family
Bruce had a passion for writing throughout his life, specializing in political commentary. He contributed to Reason Magazine, and published numerous letters to the editor of the Ventura County Star. Bruce was an award-winning photographer and painter, exhibiting in multiple juried shows through Westlake Village Art Guild and the Thousand Oaks Community Gallery. Most of all, Bruce was known for his gentleness, loyalty, sense of humor, and good character. He was truly a great man who will be greatly missed.
