On Tuesday, September 20, 2022, Anthony T. Sena (Tony/Uncle Sonny) a favorite son and loving brother, passed away at the age of 86. Tony was born on December 24, 1935, in Pueblo, Colorado to Antonio and Mercedes Sena. He was an Army 82nd Airborne Veteran serving active and reserve duty.
Uncle Sonny worked for the California State Hospital in Camarillo, NYC Bellevue Medical Center, ABC Television Studio, Bank of America, Howard Johnsons, and Days Inn. He was a self-starter and learned everything he could about the things he loved. He loved the opera and went as often as he could, even learning different languages so that he could appreciate the opera even more. He would also spend hours listening to airport control towers and knew all the codes and directions the controllers were giving the pilots. He was articulate and funny and was loved by so many.
Tony was preceded in death by his father, Antonio, his mother Mercedes, and his stepfather Jesus Hernandez, also his four sisters Consuelo Stewart, Cleo Smith, Dolores Bartels, and Isabel Dagnillo. He is survived by numerous nieces, and nephews. A burial service will be held at Roselawn Cemetery in Pueblo, Colorado at a date yet to be determined.
