Vito was born in Cleveland, the son of the late John L. and Mary A. (nee Bambino) DeCore. Vito was the beloved husband of the late Mary Ann (nee Pavlik), who predeceased him in 2017; loving father of the late Marie Ann DeCore; dear brother of the late Joseph (Marilyn "Marty") DeCore and brother-in-law of Carol (James) Harris, Robert (Sharon) Pavlik and David (Helen) Pavlik; adored uncle of John (Richard) DeCore, Catherine DeCore, Michael (Lori) Decore, Jacob (Audrey) Harris, Malisha (Michael) Dickson, Rachelle Ciomcia, Matthew (Rachel) Ciomcia, David (Joy) Pavlik and Amanda Pavlik (Daniel Lyman); great uncle of many.
He is a veteran of the US Army and retired from the City of Parma as a Programmer. Vito and Mary Ann enjoyed their time together traveling, adding to their collectables and most loved the time spent with their family. They were avid Cleveland Indians fans, attending numerous games together and Vito was recognized as one of their biggest fans. Vito will be remembered for his comedic side, always making those around him laugh and smile.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 10AM-12PM with a service at 12PM at Corrigan Craciun Funeral Home, 23040 Center Ridge Rd., Westlake, Ohio 44145.
