Zella Mae Cupit

She was born on August 20, 1928 in Elton, Louisiana to parents; Alfred and Emma Duhon.

Zella was an avid reader, and loved flowers. She was described as being the life of the Manor senior Community, and her caretakers loved her smile and sass. Most of all she enjoyed being a Grandma, Mamaw and Mimi.

She is preceded in death by her husband, George Cupit; her daughter, Lorraine Ware Felice; her sons, Larry and Donny Cupit; her parents, Alfred and Emma Duhon; her brothers, Beo Duhon, Jerry Duhon, Irene Crow, Iva Wilkerson, and Ina Patrick.

Those left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Sherry Albey and husband, Ron, and Sharon Wilson; her sister; Windola Osborne; her three grandchildren, Rusty and wife, Jerri, Cody and wife Amanda, and Susan and husband Roger; her Great-Great grandchildren, Haley, Hunter, Reagan, Ethan, Persephone and Scarlett; her special friend, Shelton Johnson, as well as a host of other family members, nieces and nephews.

The family will welcome the public for visitation at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake June 2, 2022 beginning at 1:00pm with funeral services beginning at 2:00pm, followed by a graveside service at Liberty Cemetery in Elton, Louisiana.
